Annick Donkers is a photographer from Antwerp, Belgium, frequently based in Mexico. After obtaining a Masters degree in Psychology, she decided to specialize in photography. She studied photography at different schools in Mexico such as Visualestudios, Club Fotográfico de México and Gimnasio del Arte, and was selected to participate at the Seminar on Contemporary Photography 2008 at the Centro de la Imagen. She has received a grant from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and won Best Graphic Reportage at the Certamen Nacional de Periodismo Turistico from SECTUR and CPTM. Her work has been published in Cuartoscuro, México Desconocido, The News, The El Paso Times, MO Magazine, Arbejderen, Letras Libres and Bitácora, and has been exhibited at the XIII Biennial of Photography, Fotoseptiembre in Mexico and at the Mexican Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels.
